About

Pamphlett Seascouts

At Pamphlett-Tennyson Sea Scout Group, we offer a diverse range of activities and opportunities for individuals aged 6 to 26. Our 95 members are divided into four Sections, including Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturers, and Rovers. Our group is highly active, with members participating in a variety of water-based activities such as canoeing and sailing, as well as non-water activities such as camping and hiking.

As Sea Scouts, we have a particular focus on water-based activities, including sailing, canoeing, rafting, navigation, rowing, and water and boating safety. In addition to these water activities, our Sea Scouts also participate in the full range of adventurous activities that Scouts are known for, including orienteering, camp and bush craft, cooking, camp competitions, community service, Jamborees, Ventures, and Moots.

Located at the junction of Oxley Creek and Brisbane River, and just 8 kilometers from the centre of Brisbane City, the Landship ‘Akoonah’ is the home base of Pamphlett-Tennyson Sea Scout Group. We are proud to be part of the John Oxley District, within the Brisbane South Region of the Queensland Branch of Scouts Australia.
