About

Pamphlett Seascouts

With more than 114 members including Joey Scouts (age 6-8), Cub Scouts (age 8-11), Scouts (10-15), Venturers (15-18) and Rovers (18-26) we are an active group. We participate in many water activities including canoeing and sailing, and many non-water activities, such as camping and hiking.

Sea Scouts are just like other Scouts, except that we do more water activities, such as sailing, canoeing, rafting, navigation, rowing, water and boating safety and care and maintenance of water craft. Sea Scouts do all the other adventurous things that Scouts do including orienteering, camp and bush craft, cooking, camp competitions, community service, jamborees, ventures and moots.

Pamphlett Sea Scout Group is located at the junction of Oxley Creek and Brisbane River. The Landship ‘Akoonah’ is located about 8 kilometres from the centre of Brisbane City (The capital city of Queensland, State of Australia).

We are part of the John Oxley District which is in South Region and a part of Queensland Branch of Scouts Australia.
